Congratulations Fr. Beckman! Fr. David will be celebrating his 20th Anniversary of Ordination on Wednesday May 23. Help us celebrate by attending the school Mass at 8:35AM. From the Pastor: I will be running a series of bulletin articles in my column for the Social Justice Committee regarding Catholic Social Teaching. The Church teaches seven (7) principles that are to be upheld. Please reflect with me on these principles so that we can understand them and integrate them into our lives. #1. Catholic Teaching on the Life and Dignity of the Human Person: Every human person is created in the image and likeness of God. Therefore, each person’s life and dignity must be respected, whether that person is an innocent unborn child in a mother’s womb, or is on their death bed, whether that person worked on Wall Street or a market in Baghdad, and whether that person attends church every Sunday, or is a convicted criminal on death row. We believe that every human life is sacred from conception to natural death, that people are more important than things, and that the measure of every institution is whether it protects and respects the life and dignity of the human person. —USCCB Administrative Committee, Faithful Citizenship: A Catholic Call to Political Responsibility, p. 13 In the Peace of Christ, Fr. David Beckman
