Confirmation Is…

The sacrament of Confirmation celebrates the completion of Baptism and a new outpouring of the Holy Spirit, given through anointing with Sacred Chrism, accompanied by the laying on of hands and prayer, which strengthens the faithful as members of the Church to spread and defend the Catholic Faith by word and deed.

CONFIRMATION MASS will be celebrated on

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 28th at 2:30PM at St. Matthew Catholic Church!

Sacramental Formation

At St. Matthew’s we offer Confirmation for sophomores in high school. Confirmation preparation will be held starting in September on Sunday mornings after 10:30am Mass time virtually (via Zoom), twice a month. A full schedule is below.

Confirmation classes will be held Sundays after the 10:30am Mass from 12-1pm via Zoom.

EDIT: Until further notice, we will not be able to attend Mass together due to social distancing requirements. I encourage you to attend Mass as a family or watch our recorded Mass on Youtube.

On weeks that it says “with parents/sponsors”, we invite and encourage parents and/or Confirmation sponsors to attend with you via Zoom. There will be specific formation for parents and sponsors on these dates, because your role in Confirmation is so vital.

The Fall and Winter Confirmation Retreats will be held at St. Matthew’s from 10:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Starting with Mass, lunch and snacks will be provided.)

*We are committed to the safety of our students, volunteers, and staff, so we will be ensuring that everyone in attendance practices social distancing and wears masks. We want to have some in-person programming for our Confirmation students because it is so important to their formation.
