Information About The Sacraments

Baptism – Deacon Rich Wallace  363-8269

The Church requires parents, as soon after or even before the birth of their child, to request baptism and be properly instructed in the meaning of the sacrament and the obligations attached to it. Pre-Baptism classes are scheduled every other month. Please call the parish office to register.


First Reconciliation & First Communion – Emily Gignac 362-9967

Instruction of children (usually second grade) to help them understand the principles and procedures for celebrating the sacrament of reconciliation.  Preparation of children to appreciate the mystery of Christ and receive the Body and Blood of the Lord. Celebration of these sacraments is for those who have reached the age of reason (usually second grade).


Confirmation - Emily Gignac 362-9967

A process of instruction in the sacrament of Confirmation designed to heighten our awareness of our Christian identity by celebrating the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Visit St. Matthew’s Confirmation page here.


Marriage – Fr. Steve Garner 363-8269

At least one party must be registered in the parish. Contact Father Steve Garner at least six months in advance. You must attend either a Pre-Cana, Engaged Encounter, or Sponsor Couple Program.
