The ACCW provides many different services here at St. Matthew Catholic Community. This past year they have... made & sold Pies For Priests which enabled ACCW to make and serve dinner to our local deanery of Priests and Deacons and their wives; helped the March 4 Life event by providing soup & crackers after their frigid walk to Planned Parenthood; prepared the meals for the virtual Archdiocesan Beauty in Christ Retreat and provided wonderful door prizes. There will be many more opportunities that ACCW will be assisting or facilitating in the near future! Keep watching this page and the bulletin to see what's in store for this group of women next!
In the midst of a miracle
Billie Burhite
ACCW Present
Dear Sisters in Christ,
Have you ever found yourself in the midst of a miracle? Not just a quiet blessing, but a full blown, never could have imagined, only God could do this kind of miracle?
Sometimes, we stand right in front of a miracle and fail to recognize it. Not because we don’t believe, but because the clutter, the chaos, and the mess of life can blur our vision. We focus on what’s wrong, what’s broken, what’s missing… and miss what’s miraculous.
Can you imagine how God must feel when He places a miracle right in front of us and we look the other way? Surely, it must break His heart.
But here is the beautiful truth: He keeps showing up. He keeps offering grace. He keeps giving us opportunities to notice Him, in a stranger’s kindness, in answered prayer, in quiet moments of clarity, and in the courage we find to keep going.
Sisters, let us open our eyes. Let us reach out and touch the miracles that are right in front of us. Let us see the face of Christ in the hungry, the hurting, the lonely, and the lost.
And more than anything, let us be the ones who help someone else believe. Share the story. Share the truth. Share the joy of knowing a Savior who brings light to even the darkest mess.
You don’t need fancy words to start the conversation. Just try this:
“Hey everybody… I know a guy who can save your life forever.”
Let us be bold in faith, gentle in love, and fierce in our mission. There is a world full of women who need to hear that they are loved by a God who sees past their mess and into their miracle.
With a heart full of hope,
Billie Burhite

The Hair of Bethany
“She has done what she could: -Mark 14:8
There is a beautiful scene painted for us in in Mark 14:3-9 and elaborated on in John 12:1-8. While Jesus was in Bethany before His crucifixion, Mary, the sister of Lazarus, uses her hair to anoint His feet with expensive oils.
This woman did not simply follow Jesus or wait to someone to tell her what to do, but took it upon herself to care for Him directly. She is our wonderful example.
This year we will care for Him directly by bringing comfort to His priests, ministers and outcast children.
