What is your community without you?
Our community relies on the time and effort given by our wonderful volunteers.
There are many ways to volunteer at St. Matthew.
Liturgical Volunteering - Assist with the Mass and be an example for people wanted to be more involved with their faith!
Become a Catechist - Transform lives through sharing the faith. Assist with the youth group, religious ed classes and sacrament prep. If interested, email contactus@stmatthewcr.org.
Help with special events - Sign up to help with special events. Be a part of the planning, decorating and details of our events.
Join a group! - All our groups support the community through their chosen ministry. What are you called to do?
Consider volunteering with your family. Some options…
As Needed!
There is usually something that needs to be done in the church or parish offices, such as assisting with a large cleaning project, helping with office projects or just answering the phone for one afternoon a week.
If you need service hours or just aren’t sure what you can do to help, this is a great option for you!
Liturgical Volunteering
How often? - Serve during Mass at least one week in a month.
Training - usually about 15 minutes, unless more instruction is required.
Help with Special Events
How often? - We will reach out when we have an event that we need help with. Events are held a few times a year.
What do we do? - Help with setting up and cleaning up after events.
Or call the parish office at 319.363.8269 or email contactus@stmatthewcr.org.
Our Groups are the heartbeat of our community; they are the most popular way of getting involved.
“Bear one another’s burdens, and so you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2
